The Skate Park

I've never been to a birthday party at a skate park before. Our friend Evans turned 10 this week and he celebrated at Waterboyz. We used to "babysit" Evans when he was a preschooler and when Westin was just a baby. We don't get to see them often anymore so it's a treat to get to spend time with them.

The kids had a blast riding up and down the ramps. Skateboards and helmets were provided and you could bring your own scooters. I must admit that I was a nervous wreck watching all those kids zooming past each other. I just stood there watching and praying for most of the party.

Jackson really got the hang of it and could skateboard up and down the ramps by the end.

Brody was speeding along on the scooter the entire time and the girls mostly enjoyed sitting on their bottoms and riding the skateboards down the ramps.

For Kelly

I have been meaning to start a blog for awhile now so that my friend Kelly can "keep in touch" with my family like I do with hers. I read her blog almost daily and enjoy knowing what is going on with them while they are away from "home". So this blog is partly for Kelly and partly for my kids. I want her to feel as much a part of my family as I feel with hers and I want my children to remember all of the amusing experiences of our day to day lives. So thanks for encouraging me to get started Kelly...even though I'm pretty sure it has taken me about a year to get going.
